Classroom Reveal

I have always admired the teacher bloggers that I follow.  They are amazing teachers and have made me a better teacher by sharing their fabulous ideas.  However, after only having a blog for a short time (2 months), I have even more respect for these wonderful ladies.  When I wrote my first post I thought, easy!  I can post twice a month...no problem!  I was wrong.  Finding time isn't easy.  So, my hat's off to you all!

Today, I wanted to take a minute to share pictures of my classroom.  This summer I took a position at a local public school.  I packed up my Catholic school classroom and left what I had known for five years.  A new adventure was ahead and I have loved every second of it!

Here is what my classroom looked like the day I moved in...

Here are some current pictures of my classroom (Both the library and the focus wall have been updated since these pictures)...

I hope you enjoy this peek into my home away from home.

Before I leave tonight, I want to share with you a sample from one of my classroom organization and decor packs...

You can find more classroom organization sets (classroom labels, schedule cards, binder covers, etc.) in my TPT Store

A New Year ~ A New Adventure!

Welcome to my blog!

I'm Jen.  I have always dreamed of becoming an elementary school teacher.  In fact, my parents still have the paper I wrote in second grade which says, “I want to be a second grade teacher when I grow up.”  Fast forward 20+ years and I am in my fifth year in 2nd grade…my dream come true! I absolutely love teaching at my small school in sunny California and can't imagine doing anything else.

This year I have decided to start a new adventure and try my hand at blogging.  I have also started uploading my resources on teacherspayteachers.com.  My goal is to share with you my simple ideas and thoughts as I go through the year.  I hope you enjoy reading about my classroom and that you find ideas that may work in yours.

Here are a few things about me:

Every new year comes with it a chance to grow, learn more, and be more.  I wish you all a happy and healthy 2015!  Here are my resolutions for 2015:
